With all the buzz circulating about practicing self-care, it's important to know what it is and what it isn't.
Self-care is about deliberately scheduling time in your daily life to participate in activities that support your mental, emotional, and physical health and well-being. Self-care can also be about changing your daily habits and/or diet to improve your overall health and well-being. Not to be confused with self-indulgence, self-care isn't always about saying "yes" to everything.
While it's okay to allow yourself a piece of chocolate cake every once in a while, however, making it part of your daily diet, maybe not so much. Sometimes taking care of yourself means loving yourself enough to set boundaries and saying "no" every once in a while to that which has no real, lasting benefits.
It's okay to enjoy an evening cocktail to help you relax every now and then; however, meditating, enjoying a relaxing bubble bath or a nice warm shower are much healthier options with lots of lasting benefits.💕💕💕
