Joy Edwards Founder and CEO of Sweet Surrender

Hi, I’m Joy — founder of Sweet Surrender, based in Henderson, Nevada.

Formulated in the dry desert climate of Southern Nevada, our products are crafted with moisture retention and skin comfort at the forefront — because in this environment, hydration isn’t optional.

I create handcrafted bath and body care designed for dry, sensitive, and easily reactive skin. Every formula is made with intentional ingredients that support comfort, softness, and daily ritual — without harsh additives or unnecessary fillers.

Sweet Surrender began in 2015, not as a business idea, but as a necessity.

After experiencing chemical burns from a perm, I found myself frustrated by products that promised repair but were filled with the same types of ingredients that caused the damage. Treating irritation with more irritation didn’t make sense to me. I knew there had to be a better way.

When I couldn’t find products that met my needs, I began researching oils, butters, herbs, and traditional soap-making methods. What started as experimentation quickly became education. I enrolled in a cold process soap-making class in San Diego — and that moment changed everything.

Through study, testing, and refinement, I developed the body butter that would become the foundation of Sweet Surrender. Rich yet balanced, nourishing yet breathable, it was created first for my own healing — and later became a staple for others seeking lasting moisture and comfort.

Over time, Sweet Surrender evolved into more than handcrafted products.

It became a philosophy.

For women balancing careers, families, and responsibilities, self-care often feels optional. But when you live with dry, reactive skin, comfort isn’t a luxury — it’s necessary.

That’s why every product I create is designed to support both skin and spirit. From oatmeal-infused soaps to oil-rich body butters and reset-focused shower steamers, each formula is crafted to help you slow down, soften your skin, and return to yourself.

This isn’t about indulgence.
It’s about intention.

Thank you for being here and for allowing Sweet Surrender to be part of your ritual.
